Electrical house project

 Today I have to do a blog about this house project that we did in science and maths we had to choose a house draw it out and put some light bulbs in the drawing and calculate the voltage of each bulb. We also had to find the area and perimeter the area was 113.14 and 41 for perimeter my house had 10 light bulbs 

Aim to make a house 

Method: I choose the second house it has 10 bulbs and 4 rooms 

Discussion:  Voltage is the pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that pushes charged electrons. Current is the rate at which electrons flow past a point in a complete electrical circuit.  Resistance is a measure of the opposition to current flow in an electrical circuit.

Cooking

 Today in cooking we made some rice paper parcels the first thing we had to do was get the ingredients were lettuce, carrot, celery, onion, capsicum and some noodle thingy then we had to cut up all of the ingredients. After that, we got the rice paper and we wet it and had to wait until the design on the paper went away and then we put all of the ingredients in it then we ate it.

Static and current electricity.

 Today I have to do a blog about work I have been doing in science. We are learning about static electricity and current electricity the first thing we had to do was watch a video explaining what the things mean and explaining how to use them then we had to answer some questions about the work we had done 

Banana and Chocolate chip muffins

 Today I have to do a blog about the cooking at the home task we had to choose a recipe and then you had to make it at home.  This is the recipe out of the Edmonds Cook Book.

Banana Muffins

50g butter softened

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

3/4 cup wholemeal flour

3/4 cup plain flour

1 tsp baking powder

pinch salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

3/4 cup milk

Cream butter and sugar in a bowl.  Beat in egg. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Dissolve soda in the milk. Add sifted ingredients alternately with soda to the creamed mixture, mixing just to combine. Spoon mixture into greased muffin tins. Bake at 200C for 12 to 15 minutes. Add mashed banana after sifted ingredients. 

I didn't use wholemeal flour so I just put in extra self-raising flour.  Because I used self-raising flour I didn't need to use baking powder.  I also added some grated chocolate to the mixture.  

The muffins when cooked were soft and tasted good.  The whole family enjoyed them. 

Discovery Task

Today in health we have to make a blog about work that we have been doing in health we had to pick a topic, choose six questions and answer them my topic was about brain development during teenage after we did that we needed to choose three strategies about how you can help your brain develop after that I made a poster. Pita pockets

 Today we have to do a blog about the food we made in cooking we made Pita pockets we had chopped vegetables in them and some ham in there the people that were in my group were Hunter me and two other girls. I think that my group didn't really work well when we made the food because we didn't communicate well. I didn't make the food because I wasn't hungry 

Ingredients:

• 1 pita casing per person

• Lettuce

• Cheese

• Tomato

• Grated carrot

• ¼ onions

• 1t oil

• Sauces – tomato, bbq, mayo, hummus, chilli

• 1 slice of ham

Method:

1. Sauté the onions together in a pan with oil, high-med heat

2. Chop and grate the vegetables you require

3. Place pita pockets in the microwave for 20 seconds

4. Cut open the pita pocket along the crease

5. Stuff pita pockets with required filings

 Today I have to blog about the work we did in wananga we had to name places in NZ and write down one fact about the place did you know the pacific ocean is the largest and deepest ocean this is the work that I did.
